Adding Your Email Address to Gmail

ℹ️ Note: Before starting, verify that your domain name has a valid SSL certificate and that your login credentials work via webmail.

Step-by-Step Guide


  1. Log in to your Gmail account via https://mail.google.com/.
  2. Click the settings icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click See all settings.
  4. Go to the Accounts and Import tab.
  5. Under Check mail from other accounts, click Add a mail account.
  6. Fill out the form as follows:


  • Email address: your full email address.
  • Click Next.
  • Choose Import emails from my other account (POP3).
  • Click Next.


  1. Enter the POP3 settings:


  • Username: your full email address.
  • Password: your email password.
  • POP server: mail.voorbeeld.cc
  • Port: 995
  • Check Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server.
  • Check Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
  • Click Add Account.


  1. Setting up sending via SMTP:


  • Click Next to also send emails from this address.
  • Name: your name or company name.
  • Click Next Step.


  1. Enter the SMTP settings:

  • SMTP server: mail.voorbeeld.cc
  • Port: 465
  • Username: your full email address.
  • Password: your email password.
  • Choose Secured connection using SSL.
  • Click Add Account.


  1. Confirm sending:

  • A confirmation email will be sent to your address.
  • Click the confirmation link in the email.
  • Then click Confirm.


Your email address is now successfully linked to Gmail and ready to send and receive emails.


ℹ️ Important: In this guide, replace voorbeeld.cc with your own domain name.
