ℹ️ Note: Before starting, verify that your domain name has a valid SSL certificate and that your login credentials are correct by logging in via webmail.

Step-by-Step Guide



In the top left menu, click File.
Click Add Account.


Choose Manual setup or additional server types.
Click Next >.


Choose POP or IMAP.
Click Next >.


Fill out the form as follows:

Your Name: your name or company name.
Email Address: your full email address.
Account Type: choose IMAP (recommended).
Incoming mail server: mail.voorbeelddirectadmin.nl
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.voorbeelddirectadmin.nl
Username: your full email address.
Password: your email password.

Click More Settings....


Go to the Outgoing Server tab:

Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.


Go to the Advanced tab:

Incoming server (IMAP): use port 993 and select SSL encryption.
Outgoing server (SMTP): use port 465 and select SSL encryption.

Click OK.


Click Next >.


Click Close.


Finally, click Finish.



Your email address has now been successfully added and is ready to send and receive emails.

ℹ️ Important: In this guide, replace voorbeelddirectadmin.nl with your own domain name.
