ℹ️ Note: Before starting, verify that your domain name has a valid SSL certificate and that your login credentials are correct by logging in via webmail.

Step-by-Step Guide


  1. In the top left menu, click File.
  2. Click Add Account.


  1. Choose Manual setup or additional server types.
  2. Click Next >.


  1. Choose POP or IMAP.
  2. Click Next >.


  1. Fill out the form as follows:

  • Your Name: your name or company name.
  • Email Address: your full email address.
  • Account Type: choose IMAP (recommended).
  • Incoming mail server: mail.voorbeelddirectadmin.nl
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.voorbeelddirectadmin.nl
  • Username: your full email address.
  • Password: your email password.


  1. Click More Settings....


  1. Go to the Outgoing Server tab:

  • Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  • Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.


  1. Go to the Advanced tab:

  • Incoming server (IMAP): use port 993 and select SSL encryption.
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): use port 465 and select SSL encryption.


  1. Click OK.


  1. Click Next >.


  1. Click Close.


  1. Finally, click Finish.



Your email address has now been successfully added and is ready to send and receive emails.


ℹ️ Important: In this guide, replace voorbeelddirectadmin.nl with your own domain name.
