# Adding Your Email Address to Microsoft Outlook 2013

||| ℹ️ **Note:** Before starting, verify that your domain name has a valid SSL certificate and that your login credentials are correct by logging in via webmail.

### Step-by-Step Guide

1. In the top left menu, click **File**.
2. Click **Add Account**.

4. Choose **Manual setup or additional server types**.
5. Click **Next >**.

6. Choose **POP or IMAP**.
7. Click **Next >**.

8. Fill out the form as follows:
   
* **Your Name:** your name or company name.
* **Email Address:** your full email address.
* **Account Type:** choose **IMAP** (recommended).
* **Incoming mail server:** `mail.voorbeelddirectadmin.nl`
* **Outgoing mail server (SMTP):** `mail.voorbeelddirectadmin.nl`
* **Username:** your full email address.
* **Password:** your email password.

8. Click **More Settings...**.

9. Go to the **Outgoing Server** tab:
   
* Check **My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication**.
* Select **Use same settings as my incoming mail server**.

10. Go to the **Advanced** tab:
    
* **Incoming server (IMAP):** use port **993** and select **SSL** encryption.
* **Outgoing server (SMTP):** use port **465** and select **SSL** encryption.

11. Click **OK**.

12. Click **Next >**.

13. Click **Close**.

14. Finally, click **Finish**.

Your email address has now been successfully added and is ready to send and receive emails.
