# Adding Your Email Address to the New Microsoft Outlook (Windows 10/11)

This guide is intended for the new version of Microsoft Outlook that is included for free on Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers.

### Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
2. Under **Recommended accounts**, enter your full email address.
3. Click the **Continue** button.

4. In the **IMAP Password** field, enter your email password.
5. Click the **Continue** button.

6. Choose whether to sync your IMAP account with Microsoft Cloud:

* Select **Continue** (default and recommended) to sync.
* Or select **Cancel** if you do not wish to sync.

7. Click the **Next** button.

8. Choose whether you want to send optional data to Microsoft (optional).
9. Click the **Accept** button.

10. Finally, click the **Continue** button.

Your email address has now been successfully added and is ready to send and receive emails.
