### Allow external access to a database

1. Log in to `https://voorbeeld.cc:2222` (or use [Single Sign-On (SSO)](/en/article/logging-in-to-hosting-package-via-single-sign-on-sso-1biycbb/)).
2. Under **Account Manager**, click **Databases**.
3. At the top right of the page, click **MANAGE USERS**.
4. Click **Manage** next to the user you want to allow external access for.
5. At the bottom of the page, under **Allow Access From**, enter the IP address from which you want to connect.

* Enter `%` to allow access from any IP address (not recommended).

6. Click **Add Host** to allow access from the specified IP address.
7. Finally, contact us and request that we allow IP address **127.0.0.1** to access your database.

You can now connect externally to the database using the correct database connection details from the IP address you specified.

||| 📌 **Important:**

* Replace `voorbeeld.cc` with your actual domain name.
* Replace **127.0.0.1** with the IP address you want to allow.
