Transferring a Domain Name to Another Customer – Mijn Xynta

Want to transfer a domain name to another customer within xYnta? You can arrange this yourself fully through My xYnta. The new customer receives a confirmation request by email — once confirmed, we'll complete the transfer automatically.

This article applies to all domain names you manage through My xYnta. Want to transfer a different type of service? See Transferring a service to another customer.

Before you start

  • The new customer must have a customer account with xYnta. Don't have an account yet? Have them register first at mijn.xynta.com/aanmelden.
  • Make sure you have the correct email address. You'll enter the new customer's registered email address during the transfer — that address receives the confirmation request.

With a transfer, only the domain name and the associated contractual and financial responsibility are transferred. DNS settings, nameservers and any connections remain unchanged.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to My xYnta and log in with your email address and password.
  2. Click DOMAIN NAME at the top of the page.
  3. Under Domain names, click the domain name you want to transfer.
  4. Click the MANAGE button.
  5. Click the Transfer menu option.
  6. Enter the email address of the customer account you want to transfer the domain name to.
  7. Click Send.

What happens next?

  • The new customer receives an email asking them to confirm the transfer.
  • After confirmation, we automatically transfer the domain name to the new customer's account.
  • You'll receive a confirmation by email once the transfer is completed.

After the transfer is completed, we can no longer support you regarding this domain name. The transfer is only final after the first payment by the new customer — until then, you remain responsible for payment.
