# Connecting via SSH

### Connecting via Terminal (recommended)

1. Log in to `https://voorbeeld.cc:2222` (or use Single Sign-On (SSO)).
2. Under **System Info & Files**, click **Terminal**.

You can now use the window to execute shell commands on your hosting package.

### Connecting via an SSH client

1. Log in to `https://voorbeeld.cc:2222` (or use Single Sign-On (SSO)).
2. Under **Advanced Features**, click **SSH Keys**.
3. Click the green button **PASTE KEY** at the top right.
4. Paste your public RSA key into the **Line** field.
5. Click the **CREATE** button.
6. Contact us to request SSH access for your IP address.

| 📌 **Note:**

* Connect using **port 86**.
* Use your own domain name or the server name as the **hostname**.
* Use your **hosting account username** and ensure your **private RSA key** is loaded.
* Be aware that using SSH comes with risks; ensure you are familiar with working on the command line.
