# Creating a New Database

### Creating a new database

1. Log in at `https://voorbeeld.cc:2222` (or use [Single Sign-On (SSO)](/en/article/logging-in-to-hosting-package-via-single-sign-on-sso-1biycbb/)).
2. Under **Account Manager**, click on **Databases**.
3. Enter the desired database name at the bottom of the page.
4. Click the **CREATE** button to create the database.

| 📋 **Important:**

After creating the database, you will see an overview of:
   
* **Host**
* **Database name**
* **Database user**
* **Password**

Make sure to save these details securely.

5. The database and database user are now successfully created.
You can use these details to establish a connection to your database.

| 🔎 **Note:**

The database name and user name will always start with your hosting account username.  
For example, if your username is **voorbeeld**, your database name will look like: `voorbeeld_wordpress`.
