# Creating a Subdomain

### Creating a Subdomain

1. Log in to `https://voorbeeld.cc:2222` (or use [Single Sign-On (SSO)](/en/article/logging-in-to-hosting-package-via-single-sign-on-sso-1biycbb/)).
2. Under **Account Manager**, click **Subdomain Management**.
3. Click the **+ ADD SUBDOMAIN** button at the top right.
4. Fill out the form as follows:

* **Subdomain:** enter the name of the subdomain you want to create (for example: for `testen.voorbeeld.cc`, simply enter **testen**).
* **Document Root:** leave this field set to the default unless you have a specific need to change it.

5. Click the **ADD SUBDOMAIN** button to create the subdomain.

Your subdomain has now been successfully created. Depending on your DNS settings, the subdomain will work within a few minutes to a few hours.  
If you selected **Default** for Document Root, place the data you want for the subdomain in the `/domains/testen.voorbeeld.cc/public_html/` directory.
