# Creating a Subdomain – WordPress Hosting

### Creating a Subdomain

1. Log in at `https://[servernaam].srvnl.nl:8443`.

2. Click the **Add Subdomain** button at the top.
3. Fill out the form as follows:
   
* **Subdomain Name**: Enter the desired subdomain name.
     (Example: for `subdomein.voorbeeld.it`, enter `subdomein`.)
   
* **Document Root**: Specify the folder where the content should be placed.
     (In most cases, you can leave the default setting.)

4. Click **OK**.
5. Click **Close**.

Your subdomain has now been created.  
Depending on your DNS settings, it may take a few minutes to a few hours before it becomes active.  
If you left the default root folder, you can upload your files to the `/subdomein.voorbeeld.it/` directory.

||| 📌 **Important:**

* Replace `voorbeeld.it` with your own domain name.
* Replace `[servernaam]` with the server where your hosting package is located.
