# Creating a WordPress Staging Environment

### Creating a WordPress staging environment

Follow the steps below to create a staging environment for your WordPress website:

1. Log in to `https://voorbeeld.cc:2222` (or use [Single Sign-On (SSO)](/en/article/logging-in-to-hosting-package-via-single-sign-on-sso-1biycbb/)).
2. In the **Extra Features** section, click on **Installatron Applications Installer**.
3. Go to the **My Applications** tab.
4. Click the **Clone** button next to the application you want to create a staging environment for.
5. Fill out the form as follows:

* **Domain:** select the domain name where you want to install the staging environment.
* **Path:** leave blank or enter the desired subfolder name.
* **Create a Staging site?:** check this option ("Yes, the cloned installation will be used for development and testing purposes, with the ability to sync changes with the live installation.").

6. Leave the other settings unchanged.
7. Click **Clone** to start creating the staging environment.

Cloning usually takes a few minutes. You can monitor the progress via the status bar displayed during the process.

Once the staging environment has been created, you can immediately log in via the `/wp-admin` link using Single Sign-On (SSO).
