Enabling DNS Management and Managing the DNS Zone
ℹ️ Note: This article applies to standalone domain names where DNS management is enabled.
Changing the DNS Zone
- Go to Mijn Xynta and log in with your email address and password.
- At the top of the page, click Domeinnamen.
- In the overview under Domeinnamen, click on the domain name whose DNS zone you want to edit.
- At the bottom of the page, you can adjust the DNS zone:
- Use the Copy data from field to copy DNS settings from another domain.
- Use the TTL for all records field to set the TTL value for all DNS records.
- Use the Restore from previous version field to revert to an earlier version of the DNS zone.
- Click Delete (trash can icon) to remove a DNS record.
- Edit the values of existing DNS records as needed.
- Click Add (plus icon) to add a new DNS record.
- Finally, click the Save button to apply your changes.
Important Information
- The DNS zone has now been updated.
- Depending on your TTL settings, it may take a few minutes to several hours for the changes to propagate globally.
Enabling DNS Management
- Go to Mijn Xynta and log in with your email address and password.
- At the top of the page, click Domeinnamen.
- In the overview under Domeinnamen, click on the domain name for which you want to enable DNS management.
- Under the Nameservers section, click Enable DNS Management.
- Enabling DNS management will delete your current nameserver settings.
- (Optional) Select a domain name from which you want to copy the DNS records.
- Finally, click the Enable button.
You can now return to the Changing the DNS Zone steps to make the desired modifications.
