---

### Cause

The firmware update tightened the modem’s firewall settings. As a result, port 21 is blocked by default, preventing traditional FTP connections from working.
---

### Solution

You can easily resolve this issue by adjusting the modem's firewall security level:

1. Log in to your KPN modem via [http://192.168.2.254](http://192.168.2.254).
2. Go to **Settings > Security > Firewall**.
3. Set the firewall to **Low**.
4. Save the changes.

| 📌 **Note:**

* This adjustment is also recommended by KPN itself.
* If you are unsure, it is best to contact KPN customer service for assistance.
