# When will my domain name be registered?

As soon as you order and pay for a domain name, it will be registered for you immediately.

📦 **Ordering an existing domain name?**  
After your payment, the transfer request for the domain will be initiated. Depending on the domain extension, it may take a few hours to several days to complete the transfer.

👥 **Are you a reseller?**  
In some cases, you can order [on account](https://help.xynta.com/en/article/can-i-order-a-domain-name-on-account-zdh04m/). The domain name will then be registered or transferred immediately after placing your order.
