Securing Your Magento Website with SSL
- Log in to your Magento webshop with your username and password, and click Sign in.
- In the left menu, click Stores and then under Settings click Configuration ( Stores > Settings > Configuration).
- In the left menu, click Web.
- Click Base URLs.
- Ensure that the Base URL value starts with
https://
. - Click Base URLs (Secure).
- Ensure that the Secure Base URL value starts with
https://
. - Change Use Secure URLs in Storefront and Use Secure URLs in Admin to Yes.
- Click the Save Config button at the top right.
After saving, you will see a yellow notification:
One or more of the Cache Types are invalidated: Configuration, Page Cache. Please go to Cache Management and refresh cache types.
- Click Cache Management.
- At the top, click Flush Magento Cache.
Your website or webshop is now secured with SSL.
When visiting your website or webshop, you will see a padlock icon appear in the address bar.
