Resetting file permissions on your hosting package
Instructional Video

If you cannot edit or delete certain files or folders, it may be due to incorrect file permissions.

Resetting file permissions on your hosting package

Log in at https://voorbeeld.cc:2222 (or via Single Sign-On (SSO)).
Under System Info & Files, go to File Manager.
Navigate one level higher than the file or folder whose permissions you want to reset.

Example: to reset permissions for public_html/, go to domains/voorbeeld.cc/.

Select the folder or file.
Click the three-dots icon at the top right.
Click on Set Permissions.
Fill out the form as follows:

Enter 755 for folders and 644 for files in the Chmod field.
Enable the Recursive option for folders (not needed for files).

Click Save.

File permissions have now been reset. Try editing or deleting the file or folder again.

⚠️ Attention:

Folders with a % character cannot be deleted.
If issues persist, there may still be incorrect permissions deeper in the folder structure.

If resetting permissions does not solve the issue, please contact our support team.

📌 Important: Replace voorbeeld.cc with with your actual domain name in this guide.
