Transferring a Service to Another Customer

Want to transfer a service to another customer? For domain names, hosting plans and Reseller Hosting plans you can arrange this yourself in a few steps through My xYnta. For Managed VPS and other services, the transfer is handled via email. Below you'll find which route applies to your situation.


This article applies to all services you manage through My xYnta. Choose the appropriate guide below based on the service type.



Automatic transfer via My xYnta


For the service types below, you arrange the transfer fully yourself through My xYnta. The new customer receives a confirmation request by email — once confirmed, the transfer is completed automatically.



Transfer via email — Managed VPS and other services


For Managed VPS plans and other services, the transfer is handled via email. Both you and the new customer send us a confirmation from the email address registered with us. We'll only process the transfer once both emails have been received.


Step 1 — Note the service names


  1. Check whether the new customer already has a customer account with us. If not, they'll first need to register at mijn.xynta.com/aanmelden.
  2. Log in to My xYnta with your email address and password.
  3. Click ACCOUNT at the top and then SERVICES.
  4. Note the service names or identifiers of the services you want to transfer.


Step 2 — Current customer sends authorisation


From your registered email address, send an email to info@xynta.com with the following content:


Dear xYnta,

I hereby authorise the transfer of the following service(s) to
the customer account [email address new customer]:

- [service name #1]
- [service name #2]

Kind regards,
[Your name]


Step 3 — New customer sends acceptance


Ask the new customer to send an email from their registered email address to info@xynta.com with the following content:


Dear xYnta,

I agree to the transfer of the following service(s) from customer account
[email address current customer] to my customer account
[email address new customer]:

- [service name #1]
- [service name #2]

I understand that I am taking over the contractual and financial
responsibility from the current customer and confirm that I have read and
agree to the general terms and conditions of xYnta Hosting B.V.

Kind regards,
[Name new customer]


Replace [email address current customer], [email address new customer] and [service name #X] with the actual details.


Important information


With a transfer, only the plan and the associated contractual and financial responsibility are transferred — your data, settings and configuration remain unchanged. The new customer takes over the service exactly as it is at that moment.


After the transfer is completed, we can no longer support the original customer regarding the transferred service. All communication and support will go through the new plan owner from that point on.


Points to note:


  • The transfer is only final after the first payment by the new customer. Until then, the original customer remains responsible for payment.
  • The transfer is only completed once xYnta has confirmed it by email.
  • Doesn't the new customer have a customer account yet? They'll first need to register at mijn.xynta.com/aanmelden.
