Enabling Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for Mijn Xynta, DirectAdmin, and Plesk
âšī¸ Note: This article applies to Mijn Xynta, DirectAdmin, and Plesk.
Mijn Xynta
DirectAdmin (Web, Email, and Reseller Hosting)
Plesk (WordPress Hosting)
Go to Mijn Xynta and log in with your email address and password.
At the top of the page, click MY ACCOUNT.
In the submenu, click SECURITY.
Under Two-factor authentication, choose your preferred authentication method:
Email
SMS
Google Authenticator
Fill in the requested information (such as email address, phone number, or verification code).
Click the orange Save button.
đ Important:
From now on, you will be asked for a verification code every time you log in. Depending on your chosen method, you will receive the code by email, SMS, or via your authenticator app.
Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel.
Under Advanced Features, click Two-Step Authentication.
Click CREATE SECRET KEY at the top right.
Safely store the New Secret Set (this is your recovery key).
Scan the displayed QR code with your authenticator app, such as:
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
đ Result:
2FA is now enabled. You will be prompted for a verification code when logging in, which refreshes every 60 seconds.
Currently, Plesk does not support Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for end-users.
We will update this article as soon as the functionality becomes available.
