Creating Your Own Backup

ℹ️ Note: This article applies to our Web and Reseller Hosting packages.


We create daily backups of your hosting package and keep them for 7 days. After that, the oldest backup is automatically overwritten.

Planning to make changes to your website? Always create your own backup first. You can do this in two ways:

Method 1: DirectAdmin
Method 2: Installatron

Method 1: DirectAdmin

Log in at https://voorbeeld.cc:2222 (or use Single Sign-On (SSO)).
Under Advanced Features, click Create/Restore Backups.
Fill out the form:

Include: select Selected Domains if you only want to back up one domain.
Uncheck E-mails, FTP, and Trash.
Ensure Website Data and Database are checked.

Click the green CREATE BACKUP button.

The backup will now be created. You will receive an email once it is completed. The backup will be saved in the /backups folder.

Method 2: Installatron

Log in at https://voorbeeld.cc:2222 (or use Single Sign-On (SSO)).
Under Extra Features, click Installatron Applications Installer.
Go to the My Applications tab.
Click the Backup button for the application you want to back up.
Fill out the form:

Backup Location: choose My web hosting account.
(Note: this uses disk space. Delete old backups if no longer needed.)
Label: optionally add a description.

Click Backup to start the process.

The backup will now be created. A progress bar will show you the status.

📌 Important:

Always create a fresh backup before making important changes to your website.
Replace voorbeeld.cc with your actual domain name.
