Installing WordPress
WordPress is the most widely used CMS in the world and easy to install on your hosting plan. Below you'll find how to install WordPress in a few steps through Installatron in DirectAdmin.
Installing WordPress
- Log in to DirectAdmin — via Single Sign-On or directly at
https://yourdomain.com:2222. - Under Recommended Applications, click WordPress.
- Click + Install this Application.
- Fill in the form as follows:
- Domain — choose the domain on which you want to install WordPress.
- Path — optional. Leave empty to install WordPress directly on your main domain, or enter a folder (for example
blog) to place WordPress on a subpath. - Version settings — leave all fields (Version, Language, EULA, Automatic Updates) at their default values.
- Administrator username — enter a username. Avoid common names like
admin. - Administrator password — enter a strong password, or use the built-in password generator.
- Admin email — your email address (default: the linked email address).
- Website title — the name of your website.
- Website tagline — the tagline or description of your website.
- Click + Install to start the installation.
The installation completes within a few minutes and WordPress is ready to use.

Once your domain name is active, you can start building your website right away:
- Logging in to your WordPress dashboard — go to
https://yourdomain.com/wp-adminand log in with the username and password you just chose. - Logging in via Installatron — click the
/wp-adminlink next to your installation in Installatron to log in directly via Single Sign-On without entering your password. - Enable SSL — your hosting plan comes with AutoSSL, so your website automatically receives a free SSL certificate. See Generate a free SSL certificate for more information.
